Genero db

Genero db is a cost-effective, high-performance On Line Transaction Processing database developed for the 21st century. It is designed for multi-core servers configured with an abundance of system memory and dispenses with the 'architectural baggage' that still encumbers today's products.

In memory performance, without the constraints.

All relational databases perform record and file locking to ensure data integrity in multi-user environments. As the user count grows, so does contention to the database and locking gets increasingly in the way.

Genero db was designed to avoid locking by using the 'atomic' instruction sets of today's modern microprocessors. It was also designed to assume that data 'lives' in memory rather than on disk. This innovative approach enables the direct memory addressing of table data, which eliminates the heavy cost of indirection. In memory performance is achieved, but data can still overflow to disk.

Couple these two patented design features with a string of other innovations and the result is a performance advantage that increases with load.
